1993 - Gartner becomes sixth player to reach 600 goals
New York Rangers forward Mike Gartner scores twice in an 8-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils, becoming the sixth player in NHL history to reach 600 goals for his career.
In that 1993-94 season, Gartner's 14th straight scoring at least 30 goals, he's traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Hall of Famer pushes his goal total to 708 for his career - more than Mark Messier, Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux - and now ranks seventh all-time.
1992 - Hackett makes 57 saves to snap Sharks' 13-game skid
The San Jose Sharks need a 57-save performance from goaltender Jeff Hackett to end a 13-game losing streak.
Hackett's 59 shots faced stand as a franchise record, as he manages to outduel his counterpart, Los Angeles Kings goaltender Robb Stauber, conceding only twice in 7-2 victory.
1991 - Mullen scores four goals in back-to-back games
Joe Mullen scores four goals in back-to-back games, including a six-point performance in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 12-1 hammering of the Maple Leafs.
He notched the first four-goal performance three nights earlier against the New York Islanders.
