Before they dazzled us with their prowess on the ice, the stars of the National Hockey League were just a bunch of eager kids who hurried down the stairs Christmas morning to see what goodies awaited them underneath the tree.
Though it's pretty endearing to watch such accomplished hockey players recall their favorite Christmas gifts from years past, this festive video also reveals an alarming video-game addiction that's become eerily ubiquitous in the NHL of late.

Sidney Crosby, though, said the most cherished Christmas gift from his childhood was, of course, a hockey stick, which is exactly the response you'd expect from a robot trained exclusively to play hockey.
