Rob Zepp's return to North America is paying off.

The Philadelphia Flyers announced Zepp as the starting netminder for Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets, marking the 33-year-old's NHL debut.

Zepp signed with Philadelphia's AHL affiliate in the offseason after spending nine seasons in Europe. He spoke about his desire to play in an NHL game prior to the start of the season.

Ray Emery started for the Flyers in Saturday's victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Starting goaltender Steve Mason is suffering from an upper-body injury.
