Ducks' Beauchemin out 4-6 weeks with broken finger

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin will miss the next four-to-six weeks with a broken finger, the team announced Friday.

The Ducks' leader in ice time per game broke the digit blocking a shot in the third period of Wednesday's win over the Calgary Flames, just three games into his return from a bout with the mumps.

In response to Beauchemin's injury, the Ducks swiftly made a move to fill out their blue line, announcing the acquisition of former Tampa Bay Lightning bottom-pairing defenseman Eric Brewer.
