Former NHL player, head coach and executive Pat Quinn passed away Monday at the age of 71. Reactions continue to pour in from all corners of the hockey world.

One of the biggest testaments to Quinn's character is how respected he was by the media, particularly in Toronto.

NHL Department of Player Safety director Patrick Burke fondly recalled growing up around Quinn while Burke's father, Brian, worked in the league in various roles.

Current and former players also shared memories of the late larger-than-life figure.

Even a player Quinn clashed with during his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs offered well wishes to his family.

Finally, who could forget this classic clip of Quinn rocking Boston Bruins legend Bobby Orr with a vicious bodycheck in 1969.

The range and scope of the reaction speaks volumes about Quinn's impact on the hockey world, both past and present.
