The San Jose Sharks assigned Adam Burish to Worcester of the American Hockey League on Sunday after the veteran forward cleared waivers.

The sparingly used Burish has managed just two goals and six points over the last three seasons with the Sharks. He will earn $1.85 million this season and next whether it's at the NHL level or on the farm.

Matt Tennyson was recalled to fill out the Sharks' active roster. The defenseman has three goals and six points in 17 games with Worcester this season.
