2000 - Ray Bourque stands alone

Ray Bourque becomes the highest-scoring defenseman in NHL history as the Colorado Avalanche defeat the Nashville Predators 2-1. 

The legendary ex-Boston Bruin collects an assist on each Avalanche goal, leapfrogging Edmonton Oilers blue liner Paul Coffey with 1,529 points for his career. 

Bourque adds another 50 points in his final NHL season and remains the all-time leading defenseman with 410 goals and 1,169 assists for 1,579 points, 11th-most all-time. 

1990 - Brett Hull's back-to-back tricks

St. Louis Blues sniper Brett Hull becomes the first player in franchise history to record back-to-back hat tricks. 

His six-goal outburst comes on consecutive nights as the Blues hang 16 goals on the Toronto Maple Leafs to sweep the home-and-home series.

1974 - Dave Schultz's banner night

Philadelphia Flyers enforcer Dave Schultz sets the franchise benchmark for single-game crime, recording 34 minutes in penalties in a 4-1 loss to the California Golden Seals. 

Schultz sets the record for penalty minutes in a season that year, having being issued 472 minutes in the box.
