Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick made history with his shutout against the Buffalo Sabres Thursday night.

Quick made 29 saves in the contest.

Quick passes the great Rogie Vachon who recorded 32 career shutouts for the team from 1971-78.

Quick, the Kings 3rd round pick in 2005, has played eight seasons in Los Angeles, and coming into today's action, had a career 179-118-34 record with a 2.28 GAA. He recorded a career-high 10 shutouts in the 2011-12 season.

On top of this accomplishment, Quick also has nine shutouts in 76 career playoff games.
