VIDEO: Junior hockey coach loses temper with reporter after blowout loss

Paul Fixter, coach of the OHL's Sudbury Wolves, was in no mood to answer boilerplate postgame questions after Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
The loss extended Sudbury's skid to 10 games and, making matters worse, the team is last in the league in goals for (19) and goals against (49), which could explain Fixter's short fuse in response to a reporter's vague question about the team's work ethic:
"Well, that's your opinion. We worked hard. There you go. Good for you," Fixter said in response to a reporter suggesting the team worked hard, before raising his voice and saying: "what's the question?"
"Did you work hard?" the reporter asked with his voice raised in kind.
"F**k you! Don't f**king talk to me like that!" Fixter responded.
Cooler heads prevailed and Fixter eventually answered the question, saying he felt the team worked hard for the first 20 minutes of the game.
Fixter apologized Thursday in a statement on the Wolves' website:
I apologize for my use of profanity after last evening's loss to the Greyhounds. I could have chosen my words more carefully, however, I stand by my players, the organization and the fans of the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club. The coaching staff is a passionate group and we feel the stress of losing. We are working diligently to strive to improve our record and make the fans of the Sudbury Wolves proud.
