Report: Jets' Kane expected to begin skating this weekend

Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane is expected to take the ice this weekend for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury in first period of the team's season opener, reports TSN. 

Kane is said to be progressing well, but has not been on skates since colliding knee-on-knee with teammate Mark Scheifele. 

The Jets' forward missed 63 games due to injury last season.
