Capitals' Backstrom records 500th career point

Washington Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom set up John Carlson for a power play goal in the first period of Wednesday's game against the Edmonton Oilers, recording his 500th career point in his 501st career game.

It was no surprise Backstrom's milestone point came with the man advantage. 210 of his 500 points have been recorded on the power play, including 166 assists.
