Top 2015 NHL draft prospect Connor McDavid gave Buffalo Sabres fans something to get excited about when he registered a goal and three assists for the OHL's Erie Otters in an 8-4 win over the Niagara IceDogs on Wednesday.

The game was played in Buffalo at First Niagara Center, home of the Sabres, who are 1-5-0 to start the NHL season and likely to finish in the running for the top selection in next June's draft.

The hype surrounding McDavid, and the professional-level capacity of the arena, helped the Otters set a new record for the largest crowd to watch one of their games: 11,391.

Erie improved to 9-0-1 with the victory, while McDavid now has 29 points in 10 games - an incredible start to his draft-eligible season.
