Flyers' Coburn eyeing weekend return to lineup, 'didn't feel right' Tuesday

The Philadelphia Flyers have been on the verge of having defenseman Braydon Coburn back in the lineup many times since he suffered a lower-body injury.

Coburn has taken warmups on two separate occasions, but he failed to play in games on Saturday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, Coburn was ruled out early and head coach Craig Berube said he just wasn't ready.

"He went in warmups (Tuesday) thinking he was going to play, and he just didn't feel right. Probably the right decision not to play," he told Tim Panaccio of CSNPhilly.com.

"I’m not mystified by it - he’s just got to be confident that he feels he's ready to go," Berube clarified.

Coburn was a late scratch in Tuesday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks and did not suit up Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He plans to play Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, but we'll believe it when we see it.
