GIF: Corey Crawford robs Vladimir Tarasenko with diving blocker save
Thursday night's Game 1 between the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues hasn't exactly been a "goaltending battle."
Patrick Kane made Blues netminder Ryan Miller look silly on a breakaway in the first period, meanwhile St. Louis Blues enforcer Adam Cracknell scored his first of the season, which, kind of says it all.
In total Miller and Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford combined to stop just 23 of 28 shots faced in the games opening 36 minutes.
But one of those saves, a diving desperation stop by Blackhawks Corey Crawford, was nothing short of spectacular. Mid-way through the second period, Crawford found himself way out of position with Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko looking up at a wide open net.
But Crawford made a sprawling save and somehow managed to get the inside of his blocker on Tarasenko's shot:

In the state of Missouri that save qualifies as felonious larceny by the Blackhawks starter.
