Martin Brodeur ties NHL record for most career goals against

by Mar 27, 8:04 PM

New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur is no stranger to the NHL record books. Of note, he is the all-time leader in wins (656), shutouts (119), and games played (1255 and counting).

During Thursday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes, Brodeur matched another NHL record: career goals against.

After this first period tally by Phoenix, Brodeur now sits at 2,756 goals allowed, tied with Grant Fuhr and Gilles Meloche (via Matt Sitkoff).

To Brodeur's credit, it took him a lot longer to reach that mark than his counterparts.
