A wild scene developed as the buzzer sounded in Montreal on Tuesday.
A skirmish broke out to the right of the Montreal crease, prompting goaltender Carey Price to drop the gloves and join in on the action.
Only Montreal defenseman Andrei Markov and Sabres forward Tyler Ennis were assessed penalties after the melee subsided.
The Canadiens won 2-0 on the strength of Price's fifth shutout of the season, and he skated off the ice with a pretty big smile on his face.
