Canadiens F Dale Weise on Bruins winning streak: 'We want to be the ones to knock them off'

Bob DeChiara / US PRESSWIRE

Canadiens forward Dale Weise may have turned up the intensity meter ahead of Monday night's grudge match between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens. Not that Canadiens and Bruins games need any additional seasoning...

"We’re glad they came back to beat Phoenix," Weise told reporters about rooting for the Bruins to win over the weekend. "Because we want to be the ones to knock them off."

Weise isn't a stranger to playing big games in Boston. The former Vancouver Canucks forward was part of the 2012 January game that featured multiple ejections, a Brad Marchand low-bridge on Sami Salo and a variety of fights. Weise also had an odd exchange where he sort of got punked by Bruins enforcer Shawn Thornton...

Can the Canadiens put the dagger to the Boston Bruins' impressive post-Olympic break winning streak? While that remains to be seen, one thing is assured: there will be fireworks.
