VIDEO: Jaromir Jagr scores 700th career goal
On Saturday afternoon New Jersey Devils forward Jaromir Jagr scored his 700th career goal against the New York Islanders. The goal puts Jagr is super-elite company as he becomes just the seventh player in NHL history to tally 700 goals. joining the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Brett Hull, Gordie Howe, Marcel Dionne, Mike Gartner and Phil Esposito.
While the totals are impressive - and would be even more impressive if Jagr hadn't spent three seasons in Russia, or lost parts of three seasons to labor strife - the way Jagr scored his 700th was pretty pedestrian. Let's just say that the living legend has scored prettier goals in the NHL:
