Yzerman believes NHL participation at Olympics is 'good for our game'

Canadian men's hockey team general manager Steve Yzerman told reporters during a press conference on Monday that he sees the relationship between the NHL and the Olympics as beneficial.

Yzerman's remarks come after reports surfaced suggesting the NHL is done with pausing its season once every four years to send players to the games.

While Yzerman's Olympic opinions provided a little bit of interesting insight, his views were quickly overshadowed by the apparent line combinations at Canada's first practice in Sochi.

Yzerman warned reporters that the lines they were about to see are a "work in progress," so expect those names to get shuffled around before Canada plays its first game against Norway on Thursday.
