Report: Martin Brodeur met with GM Lou Lamoriello to discuss future with Devils
A notoriously leak-proof New Jersey Devils room showed some cracks - intentional or not - when word got out that goalie Martin Brodeur and general manager Lou Lamoriello were discussing his future with the club.

With the trade freeze in effect until Feb. 23, there's no stopping the Devils from getting the word out for offers on Brodeur with Cory Schneider taking firm control of the starting job in New Jersey.
The 41-year-old was supposed to treat the 2013-14 season as a swan song, but instead has found himself frustrated and sounding off in post-game interviews, like when he blamed the ice after letting in six goals on 21 shots at the outdoor game at Yankee Stadium.
The NHL's trade deadline is March 5, leaving roughly a week to complete a deal. The most likely rental destination for Brodeur has been rumored as Minnesota, who could use a hand in net with Josh Harding battling health issues.
Other teams in the mix for the Devils starter could include the Penguins, who aren't that confident with Marc-Andre Fleury when he doesn't have a backup like Tomas Vokoun in case things go awry.
The Blues could also show some interest, although with Jaroslav Halak rounding back to form and Brian Elliott as a stable backup, the idea of renting Broduer may not be as attractive as it was when Halak was still injured.
