David Booth: Gator Hunter
With the Olympic break in full swing following Saturday night's slate of NHL games, those players who aren't bound for Sochi have 10 days off before practices begin again on February 19th. The vast majority of players are off to find a beach somewhere, but others are planning to just chill, and some banged up players hope to nurse their injuries and recover for the resumption of the 2013-14 NHL season.
But Vancouver Canucks forward and recreational hunting enthusiast David Booth has other plans, and they involve hunting large crocodilian reptiles in Southern Florida.
From Vancouver Province Canucks beat writer Jason Botchford:
Not only is Booth heading back to Florida, he’s going to hunt gators for a week.
Gator hunting is usually in the summer, but the state has been having a problem with nuisance gators, who can tend to be dangerous and eat things like family dogs.
His friend got a special nuisance licence and off they go.
This should result in some rather fantastic photos.
