Matt Moulson on the Kings and Senators' radar

Buffalo Sabres forward Matt Moulson becomes a free agent at the end of the season after playing out a three-year, $9.4 million contract signed with the New York Islanders. Moulson has 30 points in 45 games this season. In 367 career NHL games, Moulson has 254 points.

With his future with the Sabres uncertain, Moulson's name is beginning to pop up on wish lists. Pierre LeBrun of ESPN reports the Los Angeles Kings are looking at Moulson as a free agent addition, as well as the man he was traded for -- Thomas Vanek.

While the Kings have a few players on their list, the Ottawa Senators are interested in Moulson as well according to LeBrun.

If they string together some wins then GM Bryan Murray likely will feel more comfortable being a buyer and he’s on record stating he’d like to add a top-six forward. But if the Sens go through a rough patch and lose touch with a wild-card spot, then perhaps he holds off. If Ottawa does decide it’s a buyer, Moulson absolutely would be among the names on their wish list.
