Boudreau: 'You don’t want to ever intentionally embarrass another team'

After Anaheim's 9-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, Ducks head coach Bruce Boudreau told the team's official website "I don’t like those kinds of games," adding "you don’t want to ever intentionally embarrass another team. I've been on the other end of those scores, so I know what it feels like."

Teemu Selanne - who's been around the NHL block quite a few times - joined his coach in that sentiment: "We didn't want to finish the game like that. I know there were a couple of guys who had a chance to get a hat trick, but it’s almost embarrassing to even try. But, what are you going to say? It’s a good thing we won. But we can’t really get too high about this one."

The victory put another exclamation point on the Ducks' recent and impressive string of success, and the team took to Twitter after the game to share a few interesting tidbits.

And in regards to Wednesday night's game specifically:

Anaheim's overall record now sits at 36-8-5, and the Ducks sit six points ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks for first overall in the NHL.
