PHOTO: Viktor Fasth pays tribute to former Duck Guy Hebert with Stadium Series Mask

Anaheim Ducks goaltender Viktor Fasth will wear a new and very orange lid at the Stadium Series game between Anaheim and the Los Angeles Kings on January 277th. The mask was designed by mask artist extraordinaire Dave Gunnarsson, and is metallic and orange and actually pretty cool:

Fasth's Stadium Series mask is far from fowl, and rather obviously fits the bill.

The make up of Fasth's special mask (with his jersey number on the chin, duck wings on the side, and the masked duck on the top) is actually a tribute to former Ducks goaltender Guy Hebert.

As Gunnarrsson explained on his facebook page, the mask is "inspired by Fasth's tribute mask to Ducks' first goalie Guy Hebert," but has "evolved into a totally new mix with the cool Stadium jersey of the Anaheim Ducks." The Ducks' Stadium Series jersey is rather orange, in case you hadn't guessed.

Here's what Guy Hebert's original looked like by the way:
