Devils coach DeBoer says Myers' hit on Zubrus should've been a major penalty
Lanky Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers was assessed a minor penalty for an illegal hit to the head of Devils forward Dainius Zubrus in the third period of a Saturday night game.
After the contest Devils coach Peter DeBoer opined that the hit warranted a major penalty. Zubrus on the other hand expressed his belief that Myers simply lost his balance on the play.
The hit certainly appeared to be rather ghastly and dangerous, even though Zubrus wasn't "dazed or woozy" afterwards.
