Penguins D Engelland to have in-person hearing for hit to the head of Red Wings F Abdelkader
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland is reportedly facing an in-person hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety for his illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader on Saturday night.
An in-person hearing allows the Department of Player Safety to suspend a player for six games or more.
