Sharks F Tyler Kennedy is wary of the 'curse of Taylor Swift'
San Jose Sharks forward Tyler Kennedy, who was traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins this summer, returned to Steel City this week as the Penguins will host Kennedy's Sharks on Thursday night.
In meeting with the assembled Pittsburgh hockey media, Kennedy was asked specifically about "the curse of Taylor Swift." Seriously this is a thing that happened.
The Mercury News' David Pollak explains:
Turns out that before a 2009 concert, the Penguins presented her with a jersey with her name on it. Kennedy, Staal, Max Talbot and Alex Goligoski had their photo taken with Ms. Swift – and all four are no longer with the organization.
"I don’t think I’ll be going to any concerts in San Jose with Taylor Swift," Kennedy added.
Hopefully the "curse of Taylor Swfit" doesn't impact Kennedy's new teammate Dan Boyle, who (I don't know about you) wears #22.
