Grabovski puts blame partially on himself for injury

Washington Capitals forward Mikhail Grabovski was lucky to continue playing after 20 stitches sewed up two separate cuts on the right side of his face Saturday night.

When Grabovski was asked about the cut and its close proximity to his eye, he denied that he was scared when it happened. While speaking to media members in a scrum he said "It's life, it's hockey. I want to see replay, how this happened. I think it's a little bit my fault because I tried to hold the puck too long."

While making his return to Toronto, he mentioned playing there was like practice since he knows most of the Maple Leafs, and added "I'm happy we play only one time in Toronto."

Grabovski shouldn't miss any time with this injury, although, the swelling is coming in nicely. View the whole interview here.

Washington Capitals forward Mikhail Grabovski was involved in a scary incident Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs and was awarded twenty stitches for it.

Maple Leafs forward David Clarkson was skating up ice and Grabovski fell and caught part of his face on Clarkson's skate.

The cut is dangerously close to his eye and should be patting himself on the back for wearing a visor. With the recent stitching, he is now the perfect villain to come back and torture the Leafs for buying him out.
