Attorney Robert Abrams shed light on the incident.

"As the evidence presented to me, he threw [the accuser] into the wall, she went to the floor, and then he was stomping on her and that's what caused the bruising and the damage in this area," he said, pointing to his face and upper body.

Abrams says Varlamov spent Monday afternoon "drinking excessively" and that the incident took place Tuesday morning in his apartment. The attorney also said the accuser has was hospitalized with her injuries.

The accuser said Varlamov has "a history" of abuse.
