Moulson scores a pair in debut but Ruff's Stars down Sabres

Get used to it, Matt Moulson.

The newest Buffalo Sabres forward, acquired Sunday night, scored a pair of goals on Monday night but the Sabres came up short, losing 4-3.

The win marked the return of Dallas coach Lindy Ruff, who had spent the past 15 seasons with the Sabres before getting fired 17 games into 2012-13. Ruff had his team fired up, as they jumped to a 4-1 lead in the first.

Moulson tied the game at one in the first and then narrowed the gap to 4-3 late in the second, but he didn't have a game-tying third in him, it seems.

Even with the loss, that's a heck of a debut for Moulson, who now has eight goals on the season.

Your move, Thomas Vanek.
