The IIHF Hall of Fame's class of 2016 was announced Sunday, and five former NHLers were among the six inducted on the day of the World Championship's medal round.

In the Players category, four former NHLers were inducted - Russia's Sergei Fedorov and Valeri Kamensky, Slovakia's Peter Bondra, and Finland's Ville Peltonen. Meanwhile, former Team Canada coach Pat Quinn was inducted posthumously into the Builders category.

Fedorov, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015, won three World Championships representing the Soviet Union and Russia, while Kamensky also won three World golds and an Olympic gold with the Soviets in 1990.

Bondra represented Slovakia on seven different occasions in international competition, helping lead his country to their lone World Championship gold in 2002.

Peltonen, who is an assistant coach for the Finnish team set to face Canada in the gold medal game Sunday, won a record 13 medals in international play for Finland.

Finally, Quinn's storied coaching career included leading Canada to gold medals at the Olympics (2002), World Cup (2004), under-18 championship (2008), and the world juniors (2009).
