NHL Game Summary - Carolina at Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jiri Tlusty's third period goal helped guide the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in a makeup game after the two teams were postponed the day before due to heavy snow.

Andrej Sekera fired a shot from the point that Philadelphia netminder Steve Mason could not control. Tlusty gathered the puck and lifted the rebound into the net to break the tie with close to six minutes remaining.

Alexander Semin scored in his third straight game and Nathan Gerbe also lit the lamp in the win. Anton Khudobin made 22 stops for the Hurricanes, who have won two of their last three.

Claude Giroux had a goal and an assist, while Scott Hartnell supplied the other marker. Mason allowed all three goals on 32 shots as the Flyers lost their second straight game by one goal.
