NHL Game Summary - NY Rangers vs. NY Islanders

Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Daniel Carcillo's goal broke a tie 4:36 into the third period, and the New York Rangers swept the two-game series at Yankee Stadium with a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders on Wednesday night.

The Rangers went ahead when Carcillo banged home a rebound in the slot. Islanders goalie Evgeni Nabokov had turned away Dominic Moore's shot from the bottom of the right circle.

The Islanders had a couple of close calls with Nabokov on the bench for an extra skater. The best chance belonged to Kyle Okposo, who was alone on the doorstep but missed the net with four seconds remaining.

Henrik Lundqvist made 30 saves for the Rangers, who snapped a two-game losing streak with Sunday's 7-3 outdoor win over New Jersey.

Nabokov stopped 32 shots in his first start since he suffered a lower-body injury against Dallas on Jan. 6.
