NHL Game Summary - Tampa Bay at Carolina

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Mark Barberio scored the first two goals of his career as the Tampa Bay Lightning took a 5-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

Ondrej Palat had a goal and two assists while Teddy Purcell and Nikita Kucherov also scored for the Lightning, who had lost four of six coming in. Ben Bishop stopped a career-high 48 shots in the win.

Eric Staal had a goal and an assist, with Alexander Semin and Ron Hainsey also scoring for the Hurricanes, who have lost three of four.

Justin Peters was yanked from the start in the first period after giving up three goals on just seven shots. Anton Khudobin finished the game in net and made 15 stops.
