NHL Game Summary - Edmonton at Dallas

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Garbutt tallied a goal and two assists, as the Dallas Stars snapped their lengthy losing skid with a 5-2 triumph over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday at American Airlines Center.

Dallas had dropped six in a row in regulation for the first time since Dec. 5-15, 1995 coming into the contest, but got a goal and an assist apiece from Trevor Daley, Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin to notch its first win of 2014.

Erik Cole also lit the lamp, while Kari Lehtonen stopped 31 shots to record the victory.

Justin Schultz and Sam Gagner each registered a goal, while Ilya Bryzgalov allowed four goals on 29 shots in the setback, Edmonton's second in a row and seventh in its last nine games.
