NHL Game Summary - Detroit at Florida

Sunrise, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Brad Boyes scored the game-winner in the shootout to lift the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.

Sean Bergenheim and Nick Bjugstad scored third period goals to tie the game for the Panthers, winners in three of their last four games. Tim Thomas made 24 saves in the triumph.

Todd Bertuzzi and Pavel Datsyuk lit the lamp for the Red Wings, who have dropped three of four.

The Panthers trailed 2-0 entering the third but got a pair goals to force extra time.

Dmitry Kulikov fired a shot from just inside the blue line and Bergenheim was there to tip it past Howard to cut the deficit in half with 15 minutes left.

Bjugstad took the puck on the goal line and skated to the front of the net before sending a wrister past Howard to tie the game.

In between goals, a wild shot sailed over the net and shattered a pane of glass behind the net. The Panthers did not have an extra pane in the arena and were forced to replace it with a piece of plywood.

Bertuzzi scored 10:26 into the game. Datsyuk fired a shot from the blue line into traffic, and Bertuzzi collected the disc and sent it past Thomas for an early led.

Datsyuk tipped in a Jonathan Ericsson pass 6:47 into the middle session for a two-goal lead.
