NHL Game Summary - Chicago at Edmonton

Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - Jonathan Toews had a shorthanded goal and Patrick Kane scored on a power play during a three-minute span in the first period, sparking the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.

Andrew Shaw had two goals and an assist and Johnny Oduya also scored for the Blackhawks, who have won three in a row to improve to 3-1 on a seven-game road trip.

Corey Crawford made 24 saves -- including 11 in the third period -- for his NHL-leading 16th win.

Edmonton had won a season-high three games following a 1-9-1 stretch, but was down 4-0 in this one just 5:49 into the second period.

Justin Schultz scored the Oilers' goal and Devan Dubnyk gave up four goals on 14 shots before he was pulled. Ilya Bryzgalov allowed a goal on 13 shots after that.
