NHL Game Summary - Toronto at Minnesota

St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Zach Parise and Jason Pominville both scored in the shootout to lift the Minnesota Wild over the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-1, at Xcel Energy Center.

After Parise lit the lamp as Minnesota's first shooter, Josh Harding stopped Mason Raymond and Phil Kessel before Pominville fired a wrister through the five-hole of Jonathan Bernier for the win.

Parise scored the Wild's only goal in regulation, with the assists coming from Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle. Harding made 19 saves on 20 shots after entering the game in relief of an injured Niklas Backstrom.

Toronto's Nazem Kadri crashed the net and made contact to the head of a defenseless Backstrom. The Minnesota netminder laid motionless on the ice for a few seconds before getting up and staying in the game for a few more minutes.

Raymond tallied his sixth of the season on the power play in the second period, while Bernier stopped 33-of-34 shots in the defeat.
