NHL Game Summary - Tampa Bay at Montreal

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Valtteri Filppula scored the only goal of the shootout as the Tampa Bay Lightning took a 2-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

Filppula scored on Tampa's first chance as he deked back to the forehand and lifted a shot high to the left side past Carey Price.

Ben Bishop then stopped a Danny Briere chance before gloving away a Brendan Gallagher shot for the win.

Just a day after losing Steven Stamkos indefinitely with a broken right leg in Monday's loss against Boston, the Lightning bounced back to win for a fifth time in their past six games.

Ryan Malone scored in the first period while Bishop posted 28 stops in the win.

Briere had a goal late in the third period and Price stopped 44 shots for the Canadiens, who have lost five of their last six.
