Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Rich Peverley scored the winning goal with 18.5 seconds left in overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
Dallas had tied the game with 70 seconds on Cody Eakin's power-play goal, and won it with time winding down in the extra session as Peverley skated from the left boards to the top of the circle where he fired a wrister that beat a screened Jimmy Howard for the win.
Shawn Horcoff and Jamie Benn also scored for the Stars, who went 3-0-0 on their road trip. Kari Lehtonen made 26 stops in the win.
Pavel Datsyuk and Todd Bertuzzi each posted a goal and an assist while Henrik Zetterberg added three assists for the Red Wings, who have dropped their past two. Howard stopped 24 shots.
