NHL Game Summary - Edmonton at Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Anze Kopitar scored the game-winner in the shootout in the Los Angeles Kings' 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.

Richards got the shootout started after beating Edmonton goaltender Richard Bachman with a wrister over his left shoulder.

Jordan Eberle answered by sneaking one between LA's Jonathan Quick's glove on the post before the next two shooters were turned away.

Kopitar then skated in slowly and blasted one over Bachman's pad and under his blocker for the game-winner.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkin's ensuing attempt was wide left.

Richards also had a regulation goal for the Kings, who improved to 4-0 in shootouts this season. Quick finished with 17 saves in the win.

Bachman made 47 saves for the Oilers.

Edmonton got on the board first on Nail Yakupov's power-play marker 4:12 into the second period. Belov's shot bounced off Quick's pad, but Yakupov was there to stuff home the rebound.

Richards tied the game with just over three minutes remaining in the second. After controlling a rebound around the net, Richards spun to his left before lifting one past Bachman to make it 1-1.
