 left  to  lead the Colorado Avalanche  to a 3-2  win over the Winnipeg Jets on
 Sunday.

 Matt  Duchene  and Jan  Hejda also  scored for the  Avalanche (10-1), who tied
 their  best  start in  franchise history.  The Quebec  Nordiques, who moved to
 Colorado in 1995, also started 10-1 in the 1985-86 season.

 Semyon Varlamov made 23 saves in the win.
