NHL Game Summary - San Jose at Dallas

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Chiasson tallied the game-winner in the shootout and the Dallas Stars handed the San Jose Sharks their first loss of the season with a 4-3 victory on Thursday.

After the first two shooters for both teams were turned away, Chiasson skated in with a full head of steam, cut back to the right at the last second and hammered one off the post and in.

Dan Ellis stoned the next shooter to secure the win.

Tyler Seguin, Cody Eakin and Trevor Daley scored in regulation for the Stars, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Ellis finished with 32 saves in the win.

Patrick Marleau, Tyler Kennedy and Matthew Nieto scored for the Sharks, who had won their first six games of the season.
