Alex Steen and David Backes scored in regulation for the Blues, who needed a tally late in regulation from Steen to take the first meeting on Oct. 9 in St. Louis.
Jay Bouwmeester picked up two assists and Jaroslav Halak finsihed with 27 saves.
Brandon Pirri netted his first career score and Marian Hossa added a goal for the Blackhawks, who saw their three-game win streak come to a halt.
Corey Crawford made 26 stops, but couldn't come up with the most crucial one.
