NHL Game Summary - NY Rangers at Anaheim

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jakob Silfverberg scored twice and Jonas Hiller stopped 34 shots for his first shutout of the season as the Anaheim Ducks pounded the New York Rangers, 6-0, on Thursday.

Daniel Winnik and Dustin Penner posted a goal and an assist while Saku Koivu and Ryan Getzlaf scored for the Ducks, who played their first home game of the season and have won three straight since losing to Colorado to start the year.

For a second straight game the Rangers got torched in their own end, as this poor defensive showing followed a 9-2 loss to San Jose on Tuesday that saw 19- year-old Tomas Hertl post four goals.

Henrik Lundqvist, who gave up four goals on Tuesday before being pulled, allowed all six goals on 37 shots on Thursday as the Rangers fell to 1-3-0 on the young season.
