After the Denver Broncos won their first Super Bowl title since 1998, many Denver parents apparently decided to take their children out of school to join the celebrations.

Denver public schools released numbers showing 24,152 students were absent on Tuesday - the day of the Broncos' Super Bowl parade - for one class period or more, according to the Denver Post's Yesenia Robles.

That represents 26 percent of the 90,268 students enrolled in Denver schools, and 9,268 more students than were absent Monday.

It's not difficult to imagine why Broncos fans might want their children to be part of the historic event, not knowing when the next championship might come around.

Just ask Cleveland.
