VIDEO: Magic Johnson wants Peyton Manning to play for the Rams

Magic Johnson wants Peyton Manning to join him in Southern California.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend, and part owner of the Dodgers, appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Manning on Wednesday night and told host Jimmy Fallon that he tried to pressure Manning into playing for the Los Angeles Rams while the two were backstage.

"I tried to talk somebody out of retirement and come to the Rams," Johnson said. "I said, 'Man, if you play again, come to the Rams.' I was working on him backstage. I will even chip in some money."

Manning has said he plans to take a few weeks to celebrate his Super Bowl win with the Denver Broncos before deciding on his future.
