Manning says he'll take time to decide on retirement

Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports

Peyton Manning isn't quite ready to call it a career.

Moments after winning Super Bowl 50, the Denver Broncos quarterback told CBS' Tracy Wolfson that he will take some time to decide on his playing future.

"I'll take some time to reflect," Manning said when asked if he plans to walk off into the sunset. "I wanna go hug and kiss my wife and kids."

The 18-year veteran added: "I'm going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight."

The Broncos' win gives Manning a second Super Bowl ring in four trips to the big game.

The NFL's all-time leading passer is widely expected to retire as a champion, much like Broncos general manager John Elway did in 1999.
