St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley won Offensive Rookie of the Year at the NFL Honors awards show on Saturday.

Gurley rushed for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games in a rookie season that got off to a slow start as the Georgia product recovered from a torn ACL.

After missing the first two weeks of the season and playing in a limited fashion in Week 3, Gurley took the league by storm with four straight 100-plus-yard rushing games.

''I just want to say something to the St. Louis fans," Gurley said during his acceptance speech. "I know you all might be disappointed that we might be leaving but, you know, it's out of our control."

Gurley also gave a shout-out to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston.

"Jameis touches the ball on every play, so that's why this award means so much to me. He's a great player," he said.

After acknowledging the fans in St. Louis, Gurley made sure to mention the Rams' new home in Los Angeles.

"We're going to be in L.A. next year so hopefully we make some noise," Gurley said.

Gurley joins Eric Dickerson, Jerome Bettis, and Sam Bradford as the fourth Ram to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
