Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless was sentenced to one year probation along with a $1,000 fine stemming from a July incident where he fired two gunshots into the air during an argument in Miami Beach, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Quarless is also required to attend anger and weapon management classes.

The NFL is expected to commence its own investigation into the matter and could hand down its own form of discipline, Quarless' attorney Edward O'Donnell told John Diedrich of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. O'Donnell submitted a no contest plea on Quarless' account.

Quarless was charged with discharging a firearm in public.
